Shane Ball has joined the team of Advanced Global Communications, Inc., headquartered in Louisville, Ky., with responsibilities for sales, account management and field operations applicable to AGC’s entire service portfolio. This includes voice, structured cabling, security integration, audio/visual and data IT solutions. Founded in 1995, AGC serves clients throughout North America and parts of Europe.

A three-time football letterman for the University of Kentucky, Ball brings outstanding leadership and industry expertise to his new role, which became effective Jan. 26.

“Shane’s commitment to customer service, professionalism and industry knowledge embodies the qualities that have made AGC an industry leader since 1995,” AGC President Chris Keller said. “Clients deserve trusted advice, all options and technical expertise ─ our blueprint for lasting relationships. Shane’s qualifications will continue that legacy.”

Before joining AGC, Ball directed sales for Belden Inc. and Radiant Networks, where he also directed DAS activities. DAS (distributed antenna systems) are technologies that expand cellular coverage inside buildings. Combined, this background encompasses communications infrastructure and connectivity; cable sales; contractor accreditation with Mohawk cable manufacturer; as well as sales management and training involving electrical-engineering firms, distribution partners, integrators and end-users. Wi-Fi sales standards, service upgrades and DAS site surveys, designs, project management, installation and testing round out his qualifications.

“I understand the technology and people side of our industry, which is why AGC is an ideal fit,” Ball said. “I’m excited to begin this new opportunity, especially as new solutions and technologies transform our industry.”

Ball graduated from U.K. in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and agronomy. He played linebacker for the Wildcats, competing in 1993 Peach Bowl. Ball resides in Louisville with his wife and three sons.

Founded in 1995, AGC is a technology integrator of voice, structured cabling, security integration, audio/visual and data IT solutions.
