From hitting the trails for a meaningful cause to bringing pumpkin-launching action to viewers online, AGC is proud to support organizations that strengthen our community.

October was a month of community spirit, teamwork, and giving back for Advanced Global Communications (AGC). Our teams were proud to support two events on consecutive days: ChooseWell Communities‘ Walk Through the Wild at Louisville Nature Center and the 12th Annual Pumpkin Fest — known as “Chunkin’ Pumpkins” — at Captain’s Quarters Riverside Grille.
Although the events offered very different experiences, both reflected something important to AGC: the value of coming together to make a positive impact in the communities we serve.
“These two October events offered different ways to make a difference, and we’re proud to have played a part in both. Thank you to ChooseWell Communities, Captain’s Quarters Riverside Grille, the Chunkin’ Pumpkins organizers, and everyone who participated, volunteered, and supported these important efforts.“

Hitting the Trails for ChooseWell Communities
On October 17, AGC employees laced up their hiking shoes and hit the trails for Walk Through the Wild, an annual event benefiting ChooseWell Communities, a Louisville nonprofit organization that supports children whose parents are impacted by substance abuse.
Held at Louisville Nature Center’s 80-acre site, the event featured live music, a Halloween costume contest for kids, interactive games, a nature play area, vendor booths, and free breakfast foods. A longtime supporter, AGC was proud to have a team of employees participate in the hike, helping raise funds in support of ChooseWell’s mission. It was a day of comradery, nature, and playing a role in helping families overcome an issue affecting families throughout Kentucky.
AGC has supported ChooseWell Communities over the years because of its one-of-a-kind approach to client outcomes. It’s the only organization in Louisville offering long-term, permanent housing for families with young children, along with recovery-focused coaching and support. By keeping families together, ChooseWell tackles Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) head-on, offering a proactive solution to the challenges faced by children affected by parental addiction.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside ChooseWell and other participants who help make its work possible.
Bringing Chunkin’ Pumpkins to Viewers
The next day was equally rewarding, fun, and significant. AGC continued its support as a sponsor of “Chunkin’ Pumpkins,” hosted by Captain’s Quarters Riverside Grille in Prospect, Kentucky.
An annual event, Chunkin Pumpkins features giant catapults launching pumpkins toward targets on the Ohio River, entertaining spectators while raising awareness and funds for breast-cancer organizations. AGC was a “Lead Deckhand Sponsor,” and our teams designed, engineered, and installed the event’s “SmashCam,” enabling viewers to watch the action live from monitors throughout the restaurant or remotely online.
Now in its 12th year, the event has raised more than $125,000 to support Twisted Pink and Hope Scarves, two organizations dedicated to helping people affected by metastatic breast cancer and supporting research and awareness.
“We believe strong communities are built through connection, collaboration, and a willingness to give back,” Chris Keller added. “Being family owned and headquartered in Louisville, we have a deep connection to the organizations and events that help make our community a better place to live and work.”
